# A second editor that never skims.

This is a draft post in the WordPress block editor, with our sidebar on the right. It checks the draft against the organization's style guide, its sources and its policies, and Publish stays locked until the blockers are fixed. Edit the text and watch the checks change.

Brightwater Community Health is an invented nonprofit, and this draft was written for the demo. Your edits stay in your browser.

The editor and its checks run on the page at https://nr10.com/labs/editor-check/ with JavaScript.

## The draft

> **How our mobile clinics reached more families this year**

> When we parked our first mobile clinic outside the Eastgate library in March, we weren't sure anyone would come. By the end of the day we'd seen forty-one people [em dash] and the line was still out the door.
>
> [Image block: a mobile clinic van outside a library. Alt text: none yet.]
>
> ### What the vans do
>
> Each van is a small healthcare office on wheels, with a nurse, a community health worker and a translator on board, and because we go to the places people already gather, like libraries, laundromats and church parking lots, families who would otherwise wait months for an appointment can see someone the same week, often the same day, without taking time off work or finding a ride across town.
>
> Our diabetes program cures the disease for most people who finish it. 73% of families we saw had no regular doctor before their visit.
>
> ### Help us add a third van
>
> A world-class clinic shouldn't depend on your zip code. Read the full story in our annual report: [click here](http://brightwaterhealth.org/annual-report-2024). Questions? Send us an e-mail.
>
> Every gift is 100% tax-deductible and guaranteed to double your impact.

## AI reads the draft. A person decides.

On this page the checks are plain JavaScript rules, so you can see the shape of the thing. The plugin we build for a newsroom or a nonprofit puts AI behind the judgment calls and keeps an editor in charge.

- **Your rules, loaded once.** Your style guide, banned list, editorial policy and source rules go into the plugin as written. When a rule changes, the plugin changes the same day.
- **Code for the easy rules.** Em dashes, alt text, links and banned words are checked by code, instantly, on every keystroke. No AI needed, and the same draft always gets the same answer.
- **AI for the judgment calls.** Unsupported claims, medical or financial promises, tone and reading level go to an AI model with your policy as its instructions. Every finding quotes the rule it's based on, so an editor can tell at a glance whether it's right.
- **A human approves.** Blockers lock Publish. An editor can still overrule a finding, and the reason is saved with the post. The AI never publishes, edits or rewrites anything on its own.

Drafts stay on your server or go to an AI provider under a no-training agreement, and the plugin logs what it checked and when.
